Taipei, Taiwan, December 2, 2014 – At IFSEC India 2014, QNAP® Security will demonstrate well-rounded surveillance solutions catering to enterprises, SMBs and SOHO users, including the QVR 5.0 operating system, standalone VioStor NVR systems, Central Management System (CMS) turnkey solutions, storage expansion solutions, Mobile NVR, and much more.
“QNAP Security constantly strives to provide complete surveillance solutions that fulfill the increasing requirements of modern industries, businesses & home environments. With advanced and innovative features, our solutions accommodate different ranges of deployment and meet various application needs for both today and for future growth,” said Alvin Wu, Sales Manager of QNAP Security.
The cutting-edge VioStor NVR firmware QVR 5.0 (QNAP VioStor Recording System) introduces an intelligent desktop with multi-window design, simplified user interface, and newly added features including a floating tool bar, playback shuttle bar, and video thumbnails. VioStor NVR also supports license management for flexible channel expansion and remote access via the myQNAPcloud service. Administrators can enjoy an unprecedented monitoring & management experience with the innovative QVR 5.0.
QVR 5.0 optimizes storage use and significantly reduces the risk of losing important footage. With smart recording, constant storage consumption can be avoided by recording standard-quality videos during regular activity and high-quality videos during unexpected events - helping to achieving greater storage efficiency and image quality when alarm events occur. With Edge Recording the camera provides secondary storage with an SD card that caches recordings as necessary, allowing users to ensure seamless recordings by retrieving lost footage caused by disconnections or poor network conditions.
VioStor CMS & QSCM Lite
The powerful VioStor CMS is a turnkey solution for centralized monitoring & management with multiple VioStor NVRs distributed at different locations. Administrators can easily manage up to 1,024 channels for surveillance tasks of various sizes, and also use up to eight 4K displays to monitor all of their surveillance channels.
An economical way to enjoy CMS application is using the free app "QNAP Surveillance Central Management Lite" (QSCM Lite) which empowers a single VioStor NVR with the abilities of CMS server to centrally monitor, playback and manage up to 256 IP cameras from up to 16 VioStor NVRs. Administrators can enjoy ease-of-use, cost-efficiency, convenience and flexibility with the QSCM Lite.
Storage expansion solution
VioStor NVR’s storage expansion options offer the perfect solution to growing storage demands for Full HD video recording and long-term video retention. By installing the StorageExpansion app (QPKG) on a Turbo NAS, administrators can connect their VioStor NVR with the Turbo NAS via network to flexibly enlarge the total storage capacity of the VioStor NVR whenever needed.
Designed as a reliable in-vehicle surveillance system, the Mobile NVR features EN 50155 TX compliance with utmost vibration and shock protection, and withstands temperatures between -40°C and 60°C (-40°F to 140°F). Supporting Wi-Fi/3G/4G networks, GPS/G-sensor and dual-monitor VGA/HDMI local display (no extra PC needed for live video monitoring), the Mobile NVR is an ideal surveillance solution for a wide range of platforms including transportation and industrial settings.
